The Sentosa SX101 system combines reversible adsorption of nucleic acids with the convenient handling of magnetic beads. Nucleic acids are adsorbed on the magnetic beads. During extraction, the beads are retained in the deep well plate while non-nucleic acid components of the samples are removed from the plate. After extraction, DNA is eluted from the beads and transferred to a new plate. Eluted DNA is then ready for downstream process.
The extraction procedure is safe and generates reproducible results. It is a 4-step procedure, (1) deparaffinization and lysis of samples, (2) adsorption of DNA on magnetic beads, (3) washing of all non-DNA components, (4) elution of DNA from the beads. Steps 2 to 4 are performed automatically by the SentosaTM SX101 instrument.
The Sentosa SX FFPE gDNA Kit is used for magnetic beads-based genomic DNA extraction from formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) samples on the Sentosa SX 101 instrument.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
