Simultaneous Detection and Dierentiation of Tropical Viruses
As presented at the 2016 American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygeine, co-infection of Dengue,
Chikungunya and Zika may occur with a single Aedes mosquito bite. These three viruses present similar
symptoms, but yield different outcomes, and furthermore, the presence of multiple viruses may produce
even greater clinical impact. In order to further understand these viral infections, more clinical research is
necessary. The Sentosa® SA ZIKV-DENV-CHIKV RT-PCR Assay enables a simple, single workflow to detect and
differentiate these viruses from a single sample.
