Sentosa SA KRAS PCR Test

Detection of KRAS mutations

DESCRIPTION

The Sentosa SA KRAS PCR Test is a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) based research use only test for the detection of seven somatic mutations in codon 12 and 13 of the KRAS gene, and will provide a qualitative assessment of mutation status in DNA samples extracted from colorectal formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue.

This research use only test is intended for use on the Sentosa SX101 nucleic acid extraction platform, with the Sentosa SX FFPE gDNA Kit (4x8), in conjunction with the Rotor-Gene® Q MDx 5plex HRM instrument.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Supporting Research:

  • LoD of 5% tumor content in WT DNA for the detection of KRAS mutations
  • Sensitive and robust
  • Detect and differentiate seven mutations of codon 12 & 13
  • Cover ≥97% known KRAS mutations

Providing Laboratory Effectiveness

  • Short turn-around time: 6 hrs 15 mins for 7 samples
  • Highly automated workflow requies only 1.5 hrs of hands-on work
  • Internal controls to monitor DNA extraction, PCR efficiency and PCR inhibition
  • Minimal sample DNA requriements; no macrodissection necessary

Increasing Cost Effectiveness

  • Seven targets from one sample extraction to save extraction reagents and consumables
  • Comprehensive and fast result call-out within 2 min to save labor (available in 2014, Q3)
